Cookie policy

This page explains the cookies and browser storage Jinglebell uses, who sets them and why. Essential storage is always on. Analytics and Marketing are switched off until you choose to allow them in our cookie banner.
You can change your mind at any time with the "Change cookie settings" button below, or the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page.
Essential
These keep you signed in and make the basket, checkout and character creation work. The site can't work properly without them, so they can't be switched off.
- Sign-in session (set by Jinglebell) — Keeps you signed in, including a guest session started when you first save something, so your characters, designs and basket stay with you. Your basket itself is saved with your account, not in a cookie. How long: Until you sign out; unused guest accounts are removed by our daily clean-up under our privacy policy.
- Guest work hand-over (jb-guest-merge-token, set by Jinglebell) — While you sign in, remembers your guest session for that one tab so anything you made as a guest moves into your account. How long: Removed as soon as sign-in finishes, or when you close the tab.
- Your cookie choices (browser storage keys starting stcm., set by Jinglebell) — Remembers which categories you allowed, so we don't ask on every page. This is kept in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie. How long: Until you change your choice or clear your browser storage.
- Stripe payment cookies (set by Stripe) — Set by Stripe, our payment provider, on its checkout page to process your payment securely and prevent fraud. How long: Set and controlled by Stripe — see Stripe's own cookie policy.
- Small site notes (jb_attribution, jb-first-character-signin, jb-cutoff-notice-dismissed, set by Jinglebell) — Remember a discount code from the link you arrived with so it can be applied at checkout, that we've already suggested signing in, and that you closed the Christmas deadline notice. They stay on our site and aren't shared with anyone. How long: jb_attribution 30 days; the others until you clear your browser storage.
Analytics
Only used if you allow Analytics. They help us improve the site by showing which pages are popular and how visitors move around it.
- Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_C3K59X22MT, set by Google) — Tell visits apart and count page views, steps like uploading a photo, saving a character or design, previewing a design and signing up, and basic shop events such as adding to the basket. We don't send Google your name, email address, postal address or designs. How long: Up to 2 years; Google keeps the analytics data for 14 months.
Marketing
Only used if you allow Marketing. They help us and our advertising partners show relevant ads and measure how our campaigns perform.
- Meta Pixel (_fbp, set by Meta) — Lets Meta (Facebook and Instagram) measure whether our ads led to visits and orders. We send only product references, quantities and order value — never your name, email address, postal address or designs. How long: About 90 days.
If you withdraw consent, we stop loading Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel straight away, and remove their cookies from our site where your browser allows it.
You can also clear cookies and site storage at any time in your browser settings. If you clear the sign-in session you'll be signed out, and work made as a guest may no longer be reachable.
